School board trustees are the oldest form of elected representation in Ontario. Since 1807, generations of community-minded citizens have made decisions on behalf of local, publicly funded schools, building the foundation of our system today.

As the 2023-24 school year begins, Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education, has prepared messages to Ontario parents.

The Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ District School Board and CUPE Local 5555 are pleased to announce that they have reached a new, tentative collective agreement, effective September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2026.

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ District School Board Trustees have significant concerns that proposed legislation introduced by the government centralizes decision making provincially and limits the ability to meet the needs of local communities.

On the evening of Friday, March 3, 2023, the school administration became aware of a concerning incident of Islamophobia at Courtice Secondary School, which occurred earlier in the day. Specifically, a student damaged a copy of the Quran.
